OCTOBER, 2026

9/7/2026 2:41 pm

As we conclude our first quarter, I hope you and your students have found a steady rhythm. Students are actively balancing academic coursework and assessments with co-curricular activities and personal commitments. Regardless of what each day brings, their dedication is evident, and I know our families are working hard to support them through it all.

The end of September highlighted our vibrant school community, with students truly embodying the spirit of "Cougars Support Cougars." Club Day was a major success, featuring hundreds of student-led clubs. Additionally, our athletic teams supported one another at water polo matches, a full house attended the first Choir concert at MVPC, and parents continued to support our community by volunteering at the snack shack and attending evening events.

Our Parent DEIB group hosted two impactful events across September and October: a September Parent Social specifically for Campolindo families, and a district-wide District Potluck in October that brought together families from across our five schools to connect and learn about our programming. If you haven't yet attended a DEIB event, I highly encourage you to join us in the future to engage with our school community.

October is also a month of celebration for Campo. Our Latinos Unidos Club continues to bring awareness to Latine and Hispanic Heritage Month, which ends mid-October, and our Filipino Student Union has begun their efforts to bring attention to Filipino American History Month — a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions, rich culture, and history of the Filipino American community. Filipino Americans represent a vital part of our school community and student body, and we look forward to honoring their heritage and achievements throughout the month.

Alongside these two cultural celebrations, we also enter Homecoming Week. Our students have been busy building their hallway displays over the past few weeks, and the installations went in this weekend. This year’s theme is “What’s Up Campo?” -

Seniors are: Surfs Up (Beachy)
Juniors are: Buckle Up (F1)
Sophomores are: Power Up (Mario Kart)
Freshmen are: Saddle Up (Western)

These decorations not only unite classes, but they also bring energy to the campus. If you would like to see the various activities the student body has planned for the week, please see the HoCo Overview. And, as always, we look forward to ending the week with our Homecoming Dance.

Lastly, I am pleased to share that we are launching a 10th Grade Academic Wellness Initiative at Campolindo with the support of MEF. Building on the strong foundation and success of our 9th Grade Programming, this initiative responds to our students' evolving needs as they progress through high school. The program aims to help students navigate our rigorous academic environment while prioritizing their mental health and personal well-being. As we develop and roll out this initiative, we look forward to hosting parent education evenings that address academic stress and share actionable strategies for fostering balance. This new program and the successful 9th Grade Program are both funded by this year's MEF Grant to Campolindo. We would not be able to offer this kind of support for our students without your support of MEF - so thank you for investing in our students by contributing to the MEF Giving Campaign. Learn more at moragaeducation.org.

We remain deeply grateful for your partnership and for everything you do to support our school. Thank you for raising such thoughtful, engaged, and inspiring students—it is truly a privilege to work alongside them every day.
