News and Announcements

CAMPO PARENTS BOOK CLUB

Please join us for our spring CPC Bookclub meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 7pm in the Campo Library. The book is: Grown and Flown, How to Support Your Teen, Stay Close as a Family, and Raise Independent Adults by Lisa Heffernan and Mary Del Harrington. Featuring a combination of stories, advice from professionals, and practical sidebars, the authors cover topics such as family life, high school academics, happiness and mental health, college admissions and college life. Addressing the high school years and those first years of independence, they cover everything from the monumental (how to let your kids go) to the mundane (how to shop for a dorm room). You can also visit their extensive website for all sorts of valuable information.

SPRING FINALS FUEL, WEDNESDAY MAY 29 & THURSDAY MAY 30

Finals Fuel is a wonderful Campo tradition during finals week when parents fund and distribute over 10,000 healthy snacks to hungry and grateful students between their final exams. We are a 100% parent-supported activity and we need your help! Click here to learn how to donate money, buy snacks, and distribute them to students on campus!

CAMPOLINDO TOURS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

The last tour will be offered to prospective students and their families on  April 10. The tours will visit a variety of classrooms and featured locations on campus, followed by a Q&A at the end. Tours meet in “A Hall West” outside the Attendance Office at 3:30pm. Please email Mrs. Sliwinski to reserve a spot for a tour.

CAMPO STUDENT UNION

The Student Union is a peer mediation service offered by students that is dedicated to promoting a campus of belonging and inclusivity. Students can use the Student Union as a resource to repair and/or navigate friendship misunderstandings, resolve conflicts on sports teams or in extracurricular clubs, navigate interactions with teachers and practice self-advocacy, and be an effective upstander when witnessing any incidents of bias on campus. All inquiries and meetings are anonymous – our focus is community building, not disciplinary action. For more information about the Student Union, please visit our page on the Campolindo website. If your student would like to get into contact with the Student Union, please have them fill our Inquiry Form.

JOIN US FOR A POWERFUL EVENING ABOUT OVERCOMING CHALLENGES In the 2017 Collegiate Rugby National Championship, Robert Paylor broke his neck and his life changed in an instant when he became paralyzed. Everyone is paralyzed by something, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional. His message stirs others to cultivate purpose in their lives, fully access their inner resilience, develop a reflexive sense of gratitude, and maintain positivity through even the most daunting challenges. This event will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 7pm, at the Acalanes Performing Arts Center. Please register here.

HELP FUND THE LARAMIE PROJECT Please join Campo DEIB in raising $3,000 for the Spring 2024 student production of The Laramie Project. This compelling play helps to generate important community and student dialogue around issues of respect, equality, and acceptance. This production is taking place due to the inspired and determined efforts of dozens of talented student leaders. Let's show them our support! Your tax deductible donation will help with production rights, theater technician, costumes and materials for stage sets. Mail or drop off a check at the main office made out to “Campolindo High” with “Laramie Project” in memo. The link for web donations will be in next week’s newsletter!
