THANK YOU GARDEN CLEAN UP VOLUNTEERS
Thank you to all the volunteers supporting Campo HS Campo Campus & Garden Clean Up Day! The event was a huge success, with over fifty volunteers supporting it. The school garden received multiple updates and renovations. The interior flower beds adjacent to the school library were weeded and mulched. Moraga Road, near campus, had multiple hedges cut back. Special thanks to Mr. Seligman, Mr. Lathrop, and Mrs. Webb-Peploe for coordinating with the campus and students. Parent volunteers Karin Linnen and James Reisman worked closely with both the CPC and campus, organizing the event since last April. The CPC donated mulch and new equipment for the school garden.
PARENT EDUCATION EVENT - Virtual Event on November 13
There will be a districtwide virtual parent education event on November 13th regarding the fentanyl crisis and its impact on teens. This is an additional event after the in-person event held on October 8th in partnership with the nonprofit organization Song for Charlie.
More details to come for this important event coordinated from our district Wellness Centers. All parents within AUHSD and parents from partner districts are welcome to attend.
NEW FAMILIES:
Welcome to the Campolindo community and the 2024-2025 school year! We are happy that you are here and hope to make your transition a little easier for you and your student.
If your family is new to the Lamorinda area or your student has transferred from a different high school, please make sure to stop by the Campo Parents Club (CPC) table at Cougar Day to meet our New Family Liaison, Alicia Rago. Please read this welcome letter from Alicia and make sure to add your contact information to our New Family contact sheet.
Please reach out any time with questions or for guidance.
MORAGA EDUCATION FOUNDATION (MEF) UPDATES
This year, MEF granted $1,000,000 to Campolindo High School. This grant funds additional class sections, curricular materials, supplies, equipment, professional development, new class offerings, library updates, Career Technical Education, the College and Career Center, the Wellness Center, the Peer-to-Peer Tutoring Program, and the 9th Grade Transition Program. If Campo had to rely on state funding alone, the high school experience would be very different.
As a community, we must raise these funds each year to maintain the programs currently in place for our students, and since every student benefits from the MEF grant, our goal is for every family to contribute. Please give as generously as you can, but for those who would like guidance, MEF's recommended annual donation amount is $1,700 per student.
Please make a donation, pledge to give later, or become a Sustaining Donor by giving monthly. You can also give through the Campo Webstore. All donations made through the Webstore will be automatically designated to Campo.
The Moraga Education Foundation is the only education foundation that supports Campolindo students.
The 2023-2024 ANNUAL DONOR IMPACT REPORT is now available. Check out here how your contributions create possibilities for EVERY Campolindo student!
THANK YOU, DONORS!
