CAMPOLINDO WELLNESS CENTER NEW: SAY SOMETHING WEEK: FROM MARCH 23 TO MARCH 27 Campolindo will participate in Say Something Week, a national youth violence prevention initiative developed by Sandy Hook Promise. This program teaches students to recognize warning signs that a peer may be in distress or at risk of harm and to take action by telling a trusted adult or submitting an anonymous report through the Say Something app. Our goal at Campolindo is to foster a school community where students look out for one another and feel comfortable reaching out for help. NEW: LUNCHTIME ACTIVITIES - MON (3/23): Make a Difference Monday
Students will sign the Say Something pledge, download the Say Something anonymous reporting app, and receive a green Say Something bracelet to wear throughout the week. - TUES (3/24): Upstander Tuesday
Students will participate in a scenario-based activity focused on how to respond when they notice concerning behavior in a peer and how to involve a trusted adult. - WED (3/25): Song for Charlie
Song for Charlie will host a lunchtime table focused on fentanyl awareness and prevention, helping students better understand the risks of counterfeit pills and connect with resources. - THURS (3/26): Trusted Adult Thursday and Therapy Dogs
Students will identify trusted adults on campus by adding names to our Trusted Adults display. Therapy dogs will also be present. - FRI (3/27): Unity Friday
Students are encouraged to wear green or their Say Something bracelet and contribute to a support chain by writing a message they would share to support a friend who may be struggling.
THE THRIVE LAB - MENTAL TOUGHNESS FOR WHEN THINGS GET INTENSE Campo Wellness Center is excited to offer The Thrive Lab during academy this semester. This hands-on series helps students build mental toughness and learn practical tools to stay grounded, motivated, and resilient when things get intense. COLLEGE ADMISSIONS REMINDERS ACCEPTED STUDENT DAYS: Many universities offer an accepted student day to help students make their decisions. As the final decisions are released throughout February and March, be sure to check your portals for announcements about these events to help you make the most informed decision. HOUSING DEPOSITS: Some universities encourage students to put down a housing deposit prior to the May 1 National Decision Day. This can be advantageous in the housing lottery especially at schools where housing is impacted. Check your portals to see if this is the case at your top school, as you wait for remaining admissions decisions to come in.
