ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: CPC MEETING - TUESDAY, AUG 19, 9-10:30 AM CAMPO LIBRARY
Please join us for our first general meeting of the school year. All current parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Please check in at the Attendance Office. The board meeting agendas, minutes, and financial documents can be found at this link.

NEW: CAMPUS SAFETY DRILL - WEDNESDAY, AUG 20
All students and staff will participate in a safety evacuation drill during Academy period on Wednesday, August 20th.

NEW: WELCOME BACK DANCE CHAPERONES

NEW: BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT - THURSDAY, AUG 28!
All parents are invited onto campus to meet faculty members and hear from Principal Alvaraz. New families are invited to a social at 5:30 PM, followed by classroom visits for all parents at 6:00 PM. A campus map, event timing and list of teachers, to help with planning, can be found here. This is a parents only event.

VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARDS PROGRAM DETAILS
Campolindo has transitioned to the Helper Helper app to manage student volunteer hours. This app makes it easier to find service opportunities, log your hours, and get credit—all in one place. Full details and setup instructions can be found on the Campolindo website or CPC site.

VOICE YOUR OPINION FOR POTENTIAL MORAGA COMMUNITY CENTER
The Moraga community has voiced their desire for an inclusive Multi-Generational Community Center for over 25 years.  A group of local leaders would like to make this a reality and are looking for input from our Campo parents as they develop the plan. You can contribute to the MEF Giving Campaign on the Campo Webstore, where your gift will automatically be designated to Campo, or at moragaeducation.org. Remember to check to see if your employer will match your gift. Thank you for supporting your student's education at Campo! (MEF is a 501(c)(3) and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.)

VOLUNTEER AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We are looking for Campo parents to volunteer as Campo MEF Ambassadors. This is an easy way to make a huge impact on your student's education and learn more about MEF. It's a great volunteer opportunity for busy parents as it only requires a few hours a few times per year and much of the work can be done in the evenings or on weekends. The MEF Auction Gala will take place this year on March 21, 2026 at the Claremont Hotel. Tickets go on sale in January. Donors who join the Honor Roll by giving $6,000 to the Giving Campaign by January 1, 2026 will receive 2 complimentary tickets! ATHLETICS NEWS

NEW: ATHLETIC BOOSTERS MEMBERSHIP ITEMS PICKUP-2nd Round
If you’re unable to have someone pick up your Membership items last Friday, we’ll have them available for pickup on Friday, August 22 between 3pm and 3:30pm at the Campo Athletic Boosters Table in the Main Gym.

ATHLETIC REGISTRATION FOR '25/'26 SCHOOL YEAR 
Athletic Registration for the '25/'26 school year will open on June 1st on Sportsnet. Physicals must be dated after June 1, 2025. For more information on Athletic Registration goHERE. Athletic Clearance is required every year and must be done prior to the start date of the season of sport. Athletic Clearance is valid for the entire school year once complete.

NEW:INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FAIR, SEPT 15, 6-8PM AT ACALANES
Meet with University admissions representatives from around the world and learn more about bachelor’s degrees abroad at Acalanes High School.

NEW: SCHOOL DAY SAT & PSAT AT CAMPOLINDO
Campo will be hosting the October SAT School Day for Seniors on Wednesday, 10/8 and PSAT/NMSQT for Sophomores/Juniors on Wednesday, October 15th. Registration for both will open September 1 on the Campo Web Store. There is no limit. We will test all students who register. SAVE THE DATE: Spring School Day SAT for Juniors: Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

NEW: SAT/PSAT BOOTCAMP AND PRACTICE ACT
2-Day SAT Bootcamp - Saturday, Sept. 27 & Saturday, Oct. 4, 9am - 1 pm at Campo. In this two-day Bootcamp, students will master proven strategies and high-frequency question types to approach the test with purpose and clarity, gaining the tools to efficiently boost their score in just 8 hours. Practice ACT - Saturday, Nov. 2, 12pm-3pm at Campo. The Exam is proctored live on-campus under real testing conditions, giving you an accurate prediction of your performance on the actual tests. FALL COLLEGE VISITS ON OUR CAMPUS
A chance for students to learn about a school, new and unique programs, ask questions and meet the person who may be reading your application. Sign-up in MaiaLearning, under Events. Limited to 25 per session. Monitor the calendar, the list is changing daily!

Students must pick up a PASS from the College & Career Center and have your teacher sign at least 2 days prior. Passes collected at the event. No pass, No entry. No last minute adds.

We will be meeting with all Seniors during Gov/Econ classes to review post-secondary plans, highlight where to find support, and for those attending 4-year college review MaiaLearning tasks (i.e, linking Common App to MaiaLearning, requesting Letters of Recommendation, completing surveys for Counselor Letters of Recommendation, adding schools to “Applying to” list), balancing college lists, ordering transcripts/test scores, keeping organized through the fall, and more.
