We recommend families use a College Cost Calculator to help determine which schools are financially a good fit. More information on the college and career process can be found on College & Career 101. Please feel free to make an appointment with us on the Campo College/Career Website, Campo College Calendly links and check out "Upcoming Events." The fair will feature a dynamic mix of local community organizations, student clubs, and wellness-focused resources, including health and crisis support partners such as Contra Costa Crisis Center, Planned Parenthood, Joybound, and the Miles Hall Foundation, alongside student groups like Active Minds, the Red Cross Club, and various cultural and affinity clubs.

We’re also hoping to spotlight our own Campolindo community by inviting parent-owned wellness and wellness-adjacent businesses to participate with a booth. If you own—or know of—a yoga or pilates studio, café, or other health- and wellness-focused business, we would love to include you and highlight the incredible talent within our Campo parent community. Please contact Amy Spillane at amyspillane@comcast.net.

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS REMINDERS

CHECK YOUR PORTALS: Each college you apply to will ask you to open a portal via email, please open and check your portals often. This is where you track all information regarding your application; decisions, additional information requests, and in some cases special scholarship opportunities. We ask that students avoid checking portals or discussing decisions during class time, and parents, kindly refrain from texting students with updates during school hours. This can add unnecessary stress to an already emotional time.

WRITE YOUR THANK YOU NOTES TO TEACHERS FOR LORs: If you didn’t get to this over break, we have Thank You cards available in CCC if you would like to come by during lunch or 7th period to write a note of appreciation to the teacher(s) who took time to write you a letter of recommendation.

HAVE YOU BEEN WAITLISTED OR DEFERRED? Please check out the information here for guidance and schedule an appointment with College & Career Counselor if you have questions.

DO YOU NEED TO SEND MID-YEAR TRANSCRIPTS?
Check your portals! If colleges require mid-year transcripts (1st-semester Senior grades), please request through the Campolindo Web Store/Transcripts page (instructions on Web Store). Be sure to list all the schools in the box at the bottom and note "Mid-year Transcripts".

HAVE YOU UPDATED YOUR MAIALEARNING?
Please see the steps below to update your MaiaLearning with the most recent information; delete schools you are no longer applying to, select the program within the college you applied to, and record admissions status (i.e., accepted, waitlisted, deferred, denied). This data is critical for the accuracy of the MaiaLearning Analysis tabs by school (formerly Scattergrams in Naviance).

  • Select College Applied to: Go to list of applied schools. For each school, locate the "College Applied To/Select" box along the top, click and from the dropdown menu, please select college/school within that College you applied to (i.e, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Business, College of Engineering, etc).
  • Delete any schools not applying to: Go to school, click 3-dots next to "request transcript” button, select "delete").
  • Record any updates: accept, deny, deferred, waitlist for each school: Go to School Applied to, locate "Application Decision" at the bottom of each college info box.
