ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: With uncertainty over continuation of SNAP benefits, we want to urge any families needing support to reach out to the Food Bank of Contra Costa. We would also like to ask our Campo community to get involved and donate to our food drive which launches next week. A separate email will be sent next week with details.

The deadline to purchase AP Exams and complete registration is Wednesday, November 5. Visit the AP Exam Information and Updates page for full instructions.

CPC BOOK CLUB - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 7PM AT CAMPO LIBRARY
We will be discussing Jeffrey Selingo’s new book, “Dream School, Finding the College That’s Right for You”. Come join us as we explore tips on helping your child choose schools that will help them thrive and succeed. All are welcome (even if you haven’t had time to read the book).

PARENT ED NIGHT: SUICIDE PREVENTION & AWARENESS - THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6
You’re invited to our upcoming Parent Education Night: Suicide Prevention and Awareness—How We Can Support Our Youth. This important session will provide tools and strategies to help families recognize warning signs and foster open, supportive conversations with young people. This will be a virtual event between 5:30PM - 6:30PM. Here is the registration link for the zoom meeting.

NEW: GIRLS BASKETBALL JV AND VARSITY 
Tryouts are scheduled for 11/3 (3:30pm-5:30pm), 11/4 (7:45pm-9:45pm), 11/5 (7:30pm-9:30pm). Anyone playing a fall sport will be allowed to try out when their season is over. Questions? Please contact Coach Doug Cardoni at dougcardoni@gmail.com.

NATIONAL SIGNING DAY - FALL RECOGNITION CEREMONY - WEDNESDAY, 11/19, 12:50PM
If your senior, student athlete is committing and signing an Athletic Financial Aid Agreement to participate in collegiate athletics and is interested in participating in our National Signing Day Recognition Ceremony please email AD Ray Meadows with your senior's name, school they will be attending and sport to be added to the list of senior's to be recognized. We will be holding a Spring ceremony as well for those that are not yet signing or are not yet decided by this fall. This FALL ceremony will take place onNovember 19 at lunch, 12:50 PM in the Big Gym.

CAMPO ATHLETICS UPSTANDING ATHLETE AWARD -- NOMINATION FORM
The Upstanding Athlete Award is a chance to recognize the amazing things that our athletes do outside of their athletic achievements. Beyond just winning games, Campolindo athletics also strives to create athletes who are upstanding leaders in our community. This award is a way for fellow athletes, coaches, and parents to nominate athletes to be recognized for the great things they are doing off of the field and court.

NEW: AIR FORCE ACADEMY VISIT - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5
Wednesday, Nov 5, 1:30-2pm in the College & Career Center - SIGN UP on MaiaLearning/Events and get a pass signed by your teacher beforehand. Calling all Campolindo Students interested in the Air Force Academy! Learn about admissions and what you should be thinking about throughout your four years at Campolindo: Academics, leadership and physical fitness. 

NEW: DIABLO VALLEY COLLEGE ADMISSIONS OVERVIEW - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Join Admissions reps to learn about DVCs “Free First Time Student” promise, different pathways available: Career Tech, Pre-Apprenticeships, 2 year transfer to 4 Year (UCs/CSUs), Student Life on Campus and other resources. This is for all students at Campo who are interested in learning more, but will be geared towards seniors who are considering DVC. Friday, November 7 during Academy (Sign up on MaiaLearning/Events)

FALL COLLEGE VISITS ON OUR CAMPUS
Learn about schools and ask admissions reps questions. Students can sign-up in MaiaLearning, under Events. Limited to 25 per session. Keep monitoring the Events section on Maia or the calendar on the CCC web page - the list is changing daily! Students must pick up a PASS from the College & Career Center and have your teacher sign at least 2 days prior. Passes collected at the event. No pass, No entry. No last minute adds.

NEW: NOVEMBER IS GRATITUDE MONTH IN THE WELLNESS CENTER!
Practicing gratitude is proven to strengthen community and boost both mental and physical health. Students can sign up to attend a special Academy presentation on The Science of Gratitude in the Wellness Center on Wednesday, November 19.

Many teens experience stress, anxiety, and pressure to balance school, friends, and responsibilities. To make mental health support more accessible, we’re sharing Soluna—a free and confidential app offering coping tools, guided activities, and access to professional mental health coaches. It’s a simple way for teens to find support when they need it most. Learn more at solunaapp.com.

WELLNESS CENTER RESOURCES
If your student is experiencing difficulty with grief and loss, do not hesitate to reach out to Wellness, school counselors, or administrators. You can also access resources HERE and through the Contra Costa Crisis Center.

NEW: APPLYING EARLY - CHECK YOUR APPLICATION PORTALS
Congratulations to all those who have applied early! Each college you ‘apply to’ will be sending you an email with their portal login information. Please login ASAP and check your portals often.

Use Portals to confirm materials received/missing, decisions, special scholarship opportunities. Stay organized by keeping a separate spreadsheet with login and passwords for each school. If you have questions or need help, stop by the CCC for support.

NEW: DROP-IN EXTRA SUPPORT FOR UC/CSU APPLICATIONS - SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 1PM-4 PM
The UC/CSU app deadline is Monday 12/1 - the Monday after Thanksgiving Break. College Counselors will be in the College & Career Center to help with UC PIQs and applications. Reminder: The Campolindo College & Career Center closes Friday, November 21 at 3pm for Thanksgiving Break. We will not be available over the break to support students with applications.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIOR BALL AND GRAD NIGHT
