MORAGA EDUCATION FOUNDATION NEW: CAMPAIGN UPDATE We are 32% of the way towards reaching our fundraising goal for the year of $3.25M. You can participate in the MEF Giving Campaign HERE. Thank you! NEW: PARTICIPATION LEVELS Last year, Rheem ended the Giving Campaign with the highest participation rate, but this year, they’ve gotten a slow start - so it’s anyone’s game! Current participation rates by school are: CP: 33.6%, Campo: 28%, LP: 25.1%, JM: 24%, Rheem: 19.2%. Thank you to all of the families who have participated. If you haven’t participated yet, you can increase your school’s participation rate by contributing to the MEF Giving Campaign here! FUNDING GAP It costs almost $20,000 a year to educate a student at Campolindo, but our district only receives about $16,000 from the state and federal governments. That leaves a $4,000gap - and it’s up to us to fill that gap. Some of it is covered through local parcel taxes, but Campo relies on your contributions to the Moraga Education Foundation for the rest. EVERY CONTRIBUTION MAKES A DIFFERENCE The recommended annual contribution amount for parents and guardians of current students is $1,700 per student, but many families give less, and many give more. The important thing is that you participate at the level that is right for you. And remember: the best way you can support your child’s educational experience at school is by contributing to the MEF Giving Campaign. Thank you! WHO ELSE CAN HELP? Every year, hundreds of community members, grandparents, and other relatives of students contribute to support the education of students in Moraga. If you know someone who doesn’t currently have a student in Moraga’s schools, but would like to support your student’s education, invite them to become a Friend of Moraga Schools with a contribution to the MEF Giving Campaign today! GET YOUR FREE TICKETS TO THE MEF AUCTION GALA As a special benefit, donors who contribute to the MEF Giving Campaign at the Honor Roll Level ($6,000+) by December 31, 2025, will be offered two complimentary tickets to the 2026 MEF Auction Gala on March 21st at the Claremont Hotel. Join the Honor Roll here! (If you are giving through a Donor Advised Fund, please send us a record of your gift at MEF@moragaeducation.org. These gifts tend to take a while to process and get into our system - we want to be sure you receive your benefits if you initiated these gifts prior to the 12/31/25 deadline!) VIVA MORAGA - MARCH 21! Planning is underway for the MEF Gala - a night of casino fun, live entertainment, and most importantly - community coming together to support our schools. Save the date for March 21st, 2026 (tix go on sale in January)! We are calling on YOU to help us build a one-of-a-kind collection of items for the auction that fuels student success! Every item makes a difference: gift certificates, sports tickets & memorabilia, curated gift baskets, private lessons and unique experiences, or weekend getaways or vacation homes. Learn more HERE and fill out this form if you have something to give! |
